Cellist and Teacher

All of Polly’s work is centred around a lifelong love of playing music alongside other people. Since the age of 4, she has played musical instruments and sang alongside family and friends.

Polly has performed with Simply Strings Trio for around 15 years at weddings, corporate events, gigs, care homes and children’s concerts. She has also performed with Escafeld String QuartetWoodfield String Quartet and ELO Experience. She performed on the BBC's TV special of Billionaire Boy by David Walliams alongside Bryn Terfel, and on Channel 5’s Celebrity Carols at Christmas alongside Aled Jones and Military Wives. She has performed with the English Philharmonic Orchestra, South Yorkshire Symphony Orchestra and alongside Richard Hawley, Julian Jones and Vanessa Mae. 

As a teacher, she has taught the cello and piano for over 10 years, with pupils from beginner standard to Grade Eight. She has coached with the National Children’s Orchestra of Great Britain, Sheffield Music Hub, Sheffield Music School and the City of Sheffield Youth Orchestra. She has adjudicated at music festivals and was Chair of Sheffield Young Singers.
